Managing Change

"If you always do what you always did….
You will always get what you always got”
Anon

The issue...

  • As strategy is about change, and the execution of strategy is about making change happen, its is important to ensure that what you do supports that change.

  • Your strategy will probably involve an improvement in performance. Yet some business plans omit the explicit method of change that will bring about this difference in the organisation.  In these circumstances we call that "Strategy by hope and magic". Wouldn't you?

  • So something must be driving the change, be it: new skills and capabilities; new knowledge; new technology; change in behaviour; improving processes; investments; new understanding of the strategy and its objectives; having a different focus; clearer understanding; stopping doing what you don’t need to do; financial engineering; different incentives; different motivation, different management; or perhaps something else?

  • So, how will you improve?  What will cause you, and your organisation, to change

Help with this issue...  Our service means that...

  • You have an explicit model of change that is driving your strategy. You know what you are trying to achieve and which levers of change you are pulling.

  • You know how to tell whether those levers are having and effect and how that effect shoud be show itself.

  • You have a clear view of whether the change is happening and how quickly.  You can test this and refine it as you prgrsess.

  • You are in control of the change. So, you have more confidence in the strategy, more information on its execution and more chance of making it successful.

  • In summary we will help you to drive change in the organisation so you are more effective, and can deliver your strategy more reliably.

How we can help you..

  • By helping you develop a clear view of changes you want, and how they shall come about

  • By providing tools and techniques to track the changes and tell you are making progress towards your aim.

  • By transfering explicit change management skills and techniques, so you can manage the changes in the future, yourselves.

  • By linking the management of change with the management of performance, as one drives the other and makes it happen.

In summary we will help you to drive change in the organisation so you are more effective, and can deliver your strategy more reliably..

Help with the bigger picture...    Seven things to beware of...
