Mission & Purpose
Helping you develop, communicate and
a meaningful Misson and purpose
"First say to yourself what you
would be;
and then do what you have to do".
Epictetus, (Greek Stoic philosopher from 35-135AD)
The issue...
-
Whilst some mission statements are effective and help to motivate
the organisation, many seem meaningless and banal.
-
Many mission statements contain universal generalisations.
Yet organisations that know what they are about and more likely
to succeed.
Our service means that...
-
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." If your
mission and purpose are having the right effect, leave it alone!
-
If you need more detail or a new mission statement, the mission
and the purpose behind the mission is clearly stated.
More importantly, you know who understands it, where it is understood
and what is understood by it
-
You are better equiped to communicate that purpose and mission,
meaningfully, with all you do and all you say.
- You are more likely to achieve your purpose or mission.
What we can do for you...
- Establish the extent of understanding of the mission and purpose:
What is understood and what is not.
- Develop the details, examples, stories, and vision that goes
with the mission so you can communicate it better.
- Help you communicate (in so many ways) the existing mission
and purpose
- Explore how that mission and purpose is now understood and the
difference it is making.
- Make clear links from your purpose to the strategy
